Since participating in CrossFit workouts, Aaron has lost over 70 pounds and has realized the importance of improving health, eating quality food, getting good sleep AND intense exercise. Aaron grew up in the Orange County community and has been in and out of numerous gyms. “I wanted to experience something different instead of the same ole’ workouts that I was doing in the rat race of a gym that I was at.” Since experiencing a shift in his own life, Aaron has become motivated to pass along the benefits of CrossFit onto others.
I started working out at crossfit714 the end of January 2011. Around the same time I challenged myself to start eating very healthy. Since then my health, strength and conditioning have reached levels I’ve never seen before! A year prior I started learning about the power of food and what is actually healthy. Everything from what will make you lose fat and look better to what can prevent and cure cancer! It all has to do with what you eat and how you exercise. I’ve been going to 24hr fitness my whole life and I’ve never gotten close to the results that I have now. I have my Crossfit level 1 certification and have competed in 3 Next Level Invitational crossfit competitions placing 3rd in the most recent. I want to help educate as many people as possible with the things I’ve learned so others can live very healthy lives.

The lessons learned through physical training are unavoidable. The character traits required and developed through physical training are universally applicable to all endeavors. Perseverance, industry, sacrifice, self-control, integrity, honesty, and commitment are best and easiest learned in the gym.
Sports and fitness have always been an important part of my life. Many years of softball, driving a Super Comp dragster, distance running, and motocycle racing to name a few. Having four kids in 6 years slowed life down and I was looking for a challenge. Something I could fit into my very busy life. CrossFit brought not only an amazing workout, but a community that pushed my beyond anything I had ever done in a gym. I want to share my passion with adults and kids. What they accomplish in the gym instills confidence that resonates in life. I have been working with kids of all ages for 2 years. Seeing them learn something new, or perform a perfect lift is beyond rewarding.
Most of us are not elite athletes or Crossfit Games competitors, but many of us are “professional athletes” in that we need to stay in shape to be police officers, firefighters, or soldiers. Bob has a particular passion for working with members that need to maintain elite fitness as a job requirement. Bob was introduced to Crossfit through the Orange County Fire Authority in 2008 and joined Crossfit714 in July of 2009. His life-long commitment to fitness started with water polo and competitive swimming in high school. He is an avid mountain biker, snowboarder, and backpacker. He is certified as a Firefighter I and EMT.
Chloe grew up with a constant need for activity. She started on a club soccer team at a young age, where she developed a love for sweat, competition and a passion for teamwork. After an injury in her senior year of high school, Chloe decided to call it quits on her soccer career. Going from 6 days a week of high intensity workouts and running, it was hard for her to find a workout regimen that fulfilled her love of sweat. She eventually found Pilates, and although it was not her usual soccer workouts, she used it as a way to gain flexibility and core strength. After becoming certified, she taught group classes as well as private clients. When Chloe found Crossfit in 2014, it was love at first lift. The intensity was high, the competition was strong, and the community was amazing. After two years of training, she decided to take her love of improving others fitness goals and merge that with Crossfit. “Seeing people do something they never thought they could do is the most amazing feeling in the world.”
Geoff has been training using Crossfit methodologies since January 2008. A software developer by trade, in late 2007 he found himself overweight, out of shape, and at the age of 24, diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure). After trudging through a few months of dull workouts at a chain gym he found the crossfit.com main site, and devoured all the information and knowledge that was there, free for the taking. In 2008 he opened the year with his first official Crossfit WOD, and the rest is history. Since beginning he has lost 30+ pounds, rid himself of a 10-year cigarette addiction, and revamped his diet, all the while dramatically increasing his strength and physical capacity (along with curing his hypertension). Coming from a very limited athletic background, he is living proof that Crossfit works just as well for the overweight office worker who wants to change their life as it does for elite military officers and MMA fighters who live and die by their fitness. His athletic interests include Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and nutrition for athletes. He believes that the focus on fitness goals and the sense of community provided by Crossfit sets it head and shoulders above other training paradigms, and sets people up to succeed for the long-term.
