Geoff Sallee – Trainer

Geoff has been training using Crossfit methodologies since January 2008, and holds his Crossfit Level 1 and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certifications.  A software developer by trade, in late 2007 he found himself overweight, out of shape, and at the age of 24, diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure).  After trudging through a few months of dull workouts at a chain gym he found the crossfit.com main site, and devoured all the information and knowledge that was there, free for the taking.  In 2008 he opened the year with his first official Crossfit WOD, and the rest is history.  Since beginning he has lost 30+ pounds, rid himself of a 10-year cigarette addiction, and revamped his diet, all the while dramatically increasing his strength and physical capacity (along with curing his hypertension).  Coming from a very limited athletic background, he is living proof that Crossfit works just as well for the overweight office worker who wants to change their life as it does for elite military officers and MMA fighters who live and die by their fitness.  His athletic interests include Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and nutrition for athletes.  He believes that the focus on fitness goals and the sense of community provided by Crossfit sets it head and shoulders above other training paradigms, and sets people up to succeed for the long-term.

He is certified as a Firefighter I, EMT and CPR-Professional.

Gabriela Roney – Trainer

Hi! :-) I’m Gabi and I am originally from Slovakia. My background is in sports – swimming and volleyball. I played professional volleyball in Europe and played Division I volleyball at the George Washington University in DC. Now I play beach volleyball on a pro & semipro level. I was looking for something different to supplement my volleyball training but was tired of the same old 3 sets of 10 routine at the globo gym. A family member in Atlanta recommended Crossfit. I joined and was hooked ever since. I truly enjoy working out in the group environment and I love the intensity and variety of the workouts. Transition to become a trainer has been only natural to me. I love working with newbies and advanced athletes alike. I like introducing new people to fitness and showing them that there is an athlete in all of us. I also enjoy working with advanced athletes and pushing them to do their best. To push their limits higher because there is no better feeling than getting that PR and kicking some butt after a day at the office. I can’t wait to push you and be inspired by you at the same time. 3-2-1-Go!

Ken Lancy – Trainer

Ken started Crossfit in the beginning of 2009.  He was introduced by a family friend and decided to give it a try.  His First workout was at Crossfit714, from that day he has been a believer in the Crossfit workout system.  Ken has achieved his level 1 certification. Ken comes from a United States Marine Corps background and knows the importance of a workout system that really works. Crossfit is that system.    Ken enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, softball, and surfing.

ALEX PETRIE -TRAINER

I started working out at crossfit714 the end of January 2011.  Around the same time I challenged myself to start eating very healthy. Since then my health, strength and conditioning have reached levels I’ve never seen before!  A year prior I started learning about the power of food and what is actually healthy.  Everything from what will make you lose fat and look better to what can prevent and cure cancer!  It all has to do with what you eat and how you exercise.  I’ve been going to 24hr fitness my whole life and I’ve never gotten close to the results that I have now.  I have my Crossfit level 1 certification and have competed in 3 Next Level Invitational crossfit competitions placing 3rd in the most recent.  I want to help educate as many people as possible with the things I’ve learned so others can live very healthy lives.

BRANDY BURTON-TRAINER

Sports and fitness have always been an important part of my life. I grew up playing softball and surfing.
For years I raced a SuperComp dragster on a circuit.  In between I did alot of running.
By 2006 I had 4 kids under 6 years old. The chaos of kids and  4 pregnancies left me
out of shape and tired. I started running again and soon was doing 30-40 miles a week. It started to become clear
that my body could not tolerate that kind of pounding week after week.
I joined CF714 as a birthday present to myself in October 2010. The constantly varied workouts and community were just what I was looking for.
I am passionate about the power of nutrition and fitness leading me to my CrossFit level 1 certification and additional Olympic Weightlifting training.
I look forward to getting kids off to a healthy start and helping adults realize what they can truly achieve.
