CrossFit Football Certification – Orange CA – June 19-20, 2010
The CrossFit Football Certification is an introduction to the CrossFit Football concepts, movements and level of intensity needed to be successful playing football. In the certification, participants will be provided with a foundation for training for football. They will be taught the basic movements for training, sprinting and drills. This will include basic movements, change-of-direction and agility drills. Participants will be given information on programming, nutrition/diet, and film study. Film study
is done to show the practical application of the CrossFit movements to football.
This certification is presented by pro football player John Welbourn and his crew. The CrossFit Football staff will include former and current football players and strength coaches. John is a CrossFit Level 2 instructor and creator of CrossFit Football. He was drafted with the 97th pick in 1999 NFL Draft. John went on to be a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999-2003, appearing in 3 NFC Championship games, and for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2004-2007. In 2008, he played with the New England Patriots until an injury ended his season early.
Please wear athletic clothes and running shoes. We recommend you bring cleats and Olympic weightlifting shoes if these part of your normal training gear. Barefoot training or footgloves are not recommended or allowed in the certification workouts.
